An anonymous X user who claimed to work as a short-term packaging employee at Unique Services Group, a California graphics and packaging company with a production plant in Tijuana, Mexico, posted photos on September 9 of what they described as a large GTA 6-branded box. GTA BOOM covered the photos the same day. Per the poster's description, the box was a large black unit with the official GTA 6 logo on its sides and 'Vice City: Leonida' on top, bigger than a PS5 box and fitted with multiple internal compartments.
The poster also mentioned a 'circular piece' inside that they initially suggested might hold a physical disc, then walked back. The disc angle makes the claim harder to credit: Rockstar announced in June 2026 that there is no physical disc version at launch. Rockstar has confirmed two editions only, Standard at $79.99 and Ultimate at $99.99, with no Collector's Edition announced or hinted at. Notebookcheck, also reporting September 9, said the photos were deleted because the poster feared legal action from Take-Two or Rockstar.
Rockstar has not commented. Notebookcheck noted that some observers reading the images before they disappeared concluded the packaging might be a press kit or promotional material rather than something bound for retail shelves. Unique Services Group is a real packaging company with a Tijuana plant, and the described branding matches GTA 6's official look, but with the original photos gone there is no way to verify anything. GTA BOOM flagged the images as entirely unverified. Treat this as speculation until Rockstar says otherwise.
