Zelnick Called GTA 6 Pre-Orders 'Unprecedented and Astonishing' at Take-Two's August 7 Earnings Call
Take-Two held its Q1 FY2027 earnings call on August 7, the morning after Rockstar announced the Netflix Extended Look. CEO Strauss Zelnick described GTA 6 pre-order demand as unprecedented and astonishing, said the numbers had vastly exceeded the company's own internal forecasts, and declined to name a figure. Guidance did not move, and he explained why in one line: nobody has bought anything yet.

Rockstar Confirms GTA 6's 'Extended Look' on Netflix for August 27
Rockstar announced today that Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will premiere on Netflix on August 27 at 3 PM ET, giving subscribers a six-hour window before the video goes live on the Rockstar YouTube channel and the official GTA VI site at 9 PM ET.

Panther Statue Returns to Cayo Perico on August 6, With a Free $1 Million Login Bonus
The August 6 weekly update puts the Panther Statue back in El Rubio's vault, guaranteed on your first run of the heist during the window. It pays GTA$1,900,000 on Normal, and every player who logs in between August 6 and August 12 gets GTA$1,000,000 deposited automatically.
