Leaked footage attributed to Cyberleek resurfaced on October 8, about six weeks after the group went quiet around the Extended Look in late August. RockstarINTEL and Notebookcheck both covered the clip the same day it appeared. The footage runs approximately 25 minutes and carries the title 'Extended Leek.' It includes several minutes of first-person driving across multiple vehicles, and Jason exits a car while still in first person. RockstarINTEL described the perspective as looking 'a bit janky and perhaps not finished,' consistent with development build material rather than a shippable feature.
Rob Nelson, co-studio head at Rockstar North, told creator Davy Jones at the August preview event that GTA 6 would not have a full first-person mode at launch, though first-person aiming is in for some weapons. What the new footage shows appears to go beyond that. The clip also covers in-depth car customization and tuning, spends its first nine minutes or so on off-road racing, and later shows a street race. Both protagonists appear naked in stretches of the footage, and a tank spawns at a bridge and waterfall, pointing to developer-mode conditions rather than standard play.
Take-Two filed federal subpoenas to Microsoft and Discord in August as part of its pursuit of the group, and neither company has commented on the new footage. GTA 6 launches November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S.
