GTA 6 Trailer 3 Watch Shifts to August 7 as Take-Two's Earnings Call Draws Attention

Take-Two has scheduled its Q1 FY2027 earnings call for August 7 at 8am ET, a time and day that departs from how the company normally reports. Leaker Tom Henderson has predicted for months that the third GTA 6 trailer lands in early August, around the call.

Strauss Zelnick placed the third GTA 6 trailer in a late-June-to-early-July window in comments to Bloomberg, and pre-orders opened June 25 without one attached. The July 14 Kortz Center Heist in GTA Online and the July 19 FIFA World Cup Final in the United States were both circled as plausible release moments, since Rockstar's marketing push coincides with the tournament. Neither has arrived as of today, and fan attention has been moving toward August 7.

Take-Two confirmed its Q1 FY2027 earnings call for that date at 8am ET. The company typically holds these calls at 4:30pm ET after market close, and not on Fridays. Holding it in pre-market hours on a Friday is out of character, and the GTA VI Countdown account on X noted that 8am ET falls close to the time Rockstar usually posts on its social channels. Leaker Tom Henderson has said since a March podcast that he expects the trailer in early August, close to the earnings call, and he has stuck to that timing since. He frames it as his own read rather than insider information, and he has missed GTA predictions before, so treat it as one voice and not a confirmed date. Gaming Bible, GameSpot, Notebookcheck, and GamesHub all reported on the August 7 connection this week.

The Q1 quarter covers April through June 30, which means it captures the opening days of GTA 6 pre-orders. August 7 is when Take-Two will report actual pre-order numbers for the first time, replacing analyst estimates with real figures. Whether or not a trailer drops that day, the call itself will be worth watching. Rockstar has not confirmed anything about Trailer 3's timing, and August 7 is the product of reading outside signals rather than any studio announcement.
