NoPixel V Enters Closed Beta on the Rockstar Games Launcher on September 8

Koil, NoPixel's founder, announced on Discord that NoPixel V will enter closed beta on September 8 through the official Rockstar Games Launcher, initially available to roughly 450 creators and established players. A launch trailer premieres September 1.

Koil announced via Discord that NoPixel V, a complete rebuild of the best-known GTA 5 roleplay server, will enter closed beta on September 8 through the official Rockstar Games Launcher. Access goes initially to roughly 450 creators and established players on an invite-only list, with a launch trailer premiering on September 1 at nopixel.com. PCGamesN covered the announcement on August 14, GTA BOOM on August 15.

The Discord announcement called the move a genuine reset and a fresh start for the NoPixel whitelist, and Koil described the Launcher integration as a big step for the whole roleplay scene. The existing NoPixel Public and 4.0 servers remain active during the transition, so the closed beta runs alongside them rather than replacing what current players are using.

This follows a line of moves Rockstar has made to consolidate its RP ecosystem ahead of GTA 6's November 19 launch. Rockstar purchased Cfx.re, the organization that runs FiveM, in 2023. Take-Two then sent cease-and-desists to alt:V in March 2026 and to RageMP later. alt:V went dark on July 6, and RageMP's end-of-support date is August 31, after which FiveM will be the only authorized platform left. NoPixel V on the official Launcher takes that further, bringing the server from its original FiveM home into direct integration with Rockstar's own launcher software.
