The ninth clip centers on a gas station encounter. An NPC is filling a bathtub installed in the bed of a pickup truck with gasoline when Jason arrives. Jason steals the truck despite the man's objections, drives off, then turns around and runs him over. Notebookcheck covered the footage on August 23 and described the NPC losing a leg as blood splatters, calling it the clearest example of gore in the leaks so far.
Jason then dies in a collision: the fuel-laden truck hits another vehicle and explodes, triggering a Wasted screen, the first time Cyberleek has shown the game's death state. Game Rant, which also covered the clip on August 23, cautioned that the version on screen may be a placeholder, and identified a Florida Man easter egg in the footage: the NPC at the pump shouts 'the government is stealing my gas,' a line the outlet connects to real incidents in which people were caught hauling fuel in improvised containers. The NPC exhibits animation glitches throughout, consistent with every previous Cyberleek clip coming from a work-in-progress build.
The most notable detail arrives in the final seconds, after the gas station sequence ends. A short bathroom scene plays, and an in-game objective reading 'Return to Lucia' appears on screen, the first reference to the female co-protagonist in any of Cyberleek's nine clips. All previous footage featured Jason exclusively. The prompt does not show Lucia or any story context around it, but it does suggest the build the leaker is playing includes her content rather than cutting off at Jason. Cyberleek has now posted nine clips since August 18. The Netflix Extended Look premieres August 27 at 3 PM ET.
