Rockstar Removed the GTA 6 Pre-Order Banner, and the Landing Page Looks Different

The pre-order banner that sat at the top of the official GTA 6 page since June 25 is gone, and the hero image has been updated with a wider crop. Rockstar made no announcement about either change.

The pre-order banner on the official Grand Theft Auto VI landing page has been removed. The GTAVI_Countdown account on X flagged the change, and ComicBook.com and Screen Rant both reported on it. Alongside the removed banner, the main hero image on the page has been updated with a wider crop that shows more background detail than the version that went up when pre-orders opened on June 25. Rockstar said nothing publicly about either change.

These kinds of quiet site edits have preceded Rockstar announcements before. When the studio is preparing to put something new on its homepage, it tends to clear whatever is already there first. The pre-order banner had been the dominant element on that page for over two weeks. Removing it without an immediate replacement follows a pattern Rockstar has run ahead of past reveals, where the existing page element comes down first and the new one goes up shortly after. Playfront.de noted the same historical pattern in its coverage.

What fills that space has not been announced. The site changes sit alongside the other signals pointing toward early August: Take-Two's Q1 FY2027 earnings call is on August 7 at 8am ET, an unusual pre-market time slot, and leaker Tom Henderson has predicted Trailer 3 lands around that window. Rockstar has confirmed none of it. The banner is gone, the image is different, and the question of what comes next is still open.
