Sony released the details of its PlayStation booth at Tokyo Game Show on September 11, and the headliner is a dedicated 'Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look' theater running through all four public days of the show, September 17 to 21, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The presentation uses a 300-inch display and Sony's floor haptics, which vibrate in sync with the audio and visuals as the footage plays. Attendees who stay through the full presentation receive a co-branded GTA 6 and PlayStation T-shirt, size L only, one per person, while supplies last. GTA BOOM and Saiga NAK both reported the booth details.
The footage shown is the same Extended Look that premiered on Netflix on August 27 and went live on Rockstar's YouTube channel later that evening. No new GTA 6 material is being shown at the event. Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive do not have a separate presence at the show. The GTA 6 theater shares the PlayStation floor with playable demos of other upcoming titles.
GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S, but Sony has been the more active marketing partner. The TGS theater follows custom DualSense controllers unveiled at a September 3 State of Play and Tokyo billboard space for the game as part of the 'It Happens on PS5' campaign. No comparable Xbox marketing effort has been announced.
