Duke Arms' M4-pattern assault rifle, the GTA 6 counterpart to GTA Online's Service Carbine. It was the unnamed Duke carbine in Trailer 2 until the Extended Look showed Jason taking one off an enemy in an office firefight.
The Duke 556 is the assault rifle Jason grabs from a downed enemy during the office firefight near the end of Rockstar's Extended Look on August 27 2026. Engadget's breakdown describes him equipping the enemy's Duke 556 in one motion, which was the first time the name was attached to a gun that had been in the marketing for over a year. GTABase's weapon database lists it as the 556 Assault Rifle by Duke Arms, based on the Colt M4A1, and notes it was already visible in official screenshots.
Before the Extended Look the gun had no name. PC Gamer's June 2026 weapons roundup called it an M4-inspired Duke carbine and placed it in Trailer 2's bank robbery, fitted with a red dot sight, and the GTA Wiki listed it as an unnamed Duke carbine with a Duke Arms Company engraving above the magazine. Those are the same weapon. Duke Arms is the fictional gunmaker Rockstar carries across GTA and Red Dead, and GTA Online sells an M4-pattern Duke rifle as the Service Carbine, so the 556 is best read as that gun rebuilt for Leonida.
Stats, price, attachments and where it is sold are unconfirmed until launch. The Extended Look does show two things about how rifles handle: enemy weapons can be picked up in a single fluid motion, and Jason swaps between two firearms without opening the weapon wheel.
