Flamingo
Flamingos appear in the early shots of GTA 6's first trailer and are named among the confirmed species in Game Informer Issue 382. They are one of more than 60 bird types in Leonida.
Flamingos are among the first things GTA 6 ever showed. Trailer 1, released in December 2023, shows them over Leonida's wetlands in its early shots. It set the tone for a game that treats the natural world as part of the map rather than a backdrop.
Game Informer Issue 382, published September 29 2026, names flamingos in its list of confirmed species and puts the bird count at more than 60 types. Vice's post-preview coverage also lists flamingos among the animals that can be examined and recorded in the Wildlife Log.
Where flamingos gather in the finished game is unconfirmed beyond the wetland setting of the trailer shot. In the real Florida, American flamingos are seen in the Everglades and the Keys, the areas Grassrivers and the Leonida Keys are modelled on.
