Whale
Whales are confirmed for GTA 6 by Game Informer Issue 382, which lists them among the marine species in Leonida's surrounding waters alongside sharks, rays, turtles, and jellyfish.
Game Informer Issue 382, published digitally on September 29 2026, names whales in its rundown of Leonida's marine wildlife alongside sharks, rays, turtles, and jellyfish. Push Square and Vice both reported the issue's contents that day. The Leonida Keys archipelago and the open Gulf and Atlantic waters around the state give the species wide territory in the game world.
The series has form with whale discoveries: GTA Online players have found whale skeletons on the seabed, which became a well-known underwater easter egg. Whether GTA 6 includes live whales visible from the surface or from a submarine, whether they can be recorded in the Wildlife Log, and how close the player can get to them while scuba diving are all unconfirmed until launch.
