Vice-Dale County is the southeastern corner of Leonida and the county Vice City sits in. The name is a straight play on Miami-Dade, the real county that contains Miami, and it covers the city itself along with its beaches, its port, and the neighborhoods Rockstar has named so far.
The name appears in the game world rather than in a Rockstar press release. It reads on an Interstate 404 sign in Port Gellhorn in Trailer 2, listed alongside Mariana County. Everything the marketing has centred on so far, Jason and Lucia's Vice City life, the Jack of Hearts, Stockyard, Ocean Beach and Little Cuba, falls inside it.
